| Are you an artist? |
| Are you looking to set up your own website? |
| Are you also poor or cheap? |
| Well, thank your lucky bloody stars, you came across this site. My name is Anoop and I am the owner of anoop.net. I run the anoop.net network out of my apartment and fund it with my own money. If you are an artist and are looking to put up an online portfolio of all your work, then this site is for you. Ivan Mikan, a friend of mine is an artist as well. In early 2004, I got fed up of looking at his site. I decided to design a brand new site for him at no cost. I was going to ask him to donate a painting to me considering I spent about 40 to 50 hours on his site but I felt bad asking him for it. He was kind enough to offer something to me and I gladly accepted. I built a brand new server and loaded it will all the goodies just for it. So once that site was built, the code was just sitting there happily working away and doing its job in the flawless and effortless manner in which it should. I shared that site with another friend of mine and at that point, this idea came to my mind. So if you're still here, then read on. I meet lots of artists and aspire to be one myself. I like to help people and that is my one wish, to help as many people as possible. I've made mistakes in the past, there's no doubt about that but I'm not giving up just yet. Now, I'm offering YOU the chance to display your paintings and portfolios online and spread your art to the world. An online presence for every artist is a must. I'm not going to ask you for money unless you feel you want to donate it in which case I vow to put it to good use to help keep anoop.net up. If I cannot use it at anoop.net, I will donate it to the charity of your choice or return it to you. Are you still reading? Well, then you may be asking "what is he asking for in return?". The Answer: One painting or sculpture or one piece of art which can be of your choice provided its a fair exchange. Ofcourse, this goes without saying. I would like it signed and dated so that I can claim that I have an original 'Soontobe Famousartist' (you) piece. Now, I realize that an artist's work is very near and dear to him or her and it may be difficult to part with. But if you're looking for a site and don't mind parting with one of your brain children in exchange for one of my brain children, then contact me and we'll work out a deal. Needless to say, you will need certain things prior to contacting me:
Thats all, if you have the above and are willing to start, then take some time, think about it and click here. Also, the exchange has to be fair, I'm not going to entertain napkins or any sort of media that isn't durable and a copy of a photograph is not what I expect either unless its framed really nicely or something. Considering, I am investing my time and effort and money to provide you with a good quality self maintaining site, I will expect you to reciprocate in the same manner. I believe it sounds fair. My girlfriend, Peggy, and I will be more than happy to help you and gladly accept your form of payment. |
